Certified Georgian Translation Services

Here are some of the benefits of using certified Georgian translation services:

  • Certified translations are more likely to be accepted by official organizations, such as government agencies and educational institutions.
  • Certified translators are held to high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Certified translations can help to protect you from legal and financial problems.

If you need to have a document translated into Georgian it is important to choose a certified translation service. This will ensure that your translation is accurate and complete, and that it will be accepted by the intended recipient.

certified Georgian translation is a translated official document accompanied by a signed statement from the translator attesting to the completeness and accuracy of the translation. The statement can also be notarized by a notary public. Once a translation is certified it becomes a legal record.

So, an official Georgian translation is when it is certified either by the translator, or by a translation office or a notary. We can offer all these types of translation certification.

The most popular type of translation of official documents is a certified translation as a certified translation has the same accreditation in most of the countries.

Georgian language

Georgian is a unique and ancient language spoken primarily in Georgia, a country located at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. It is the official language of Georgia and has around 4 million speakers. Georgian is notable for its distinct script and complex grammar, making it one of the most unique languages in the world.

Key Features of the Georgian Language:

Language Family:

    • Georgian belongs to the Kartvelian language family, which is a small language group indigenous to the Caucasus region. This family is not related to any other major language families like Indo-European or Turkic languages.
    • Other related languages in the same family include Mingrelian, Laz, and Svan, which are spoken by smaller groups in Georgia.

Georgian Alphabet:

    • Georgian uses its own unique script called Mkhedruli. It is one of the 14 existing scripts in the world today.
    • The alphabet consists of 33 letters, and the script is notable for its rounded, flowing letters. Mkhedruli has been in use since the 10th century and is currently the standard script for writing Georgian.

Georgian Grammar:

    • Georgian grammar is considered complex, particularly because of its system of verbs and noun cases. Georgian has seven grammatical cases that change the form of a noun depending on its role in a sentence (e.g., subject, object, etc.).
    • Verbs in Georgian are polypersonal, meaning they often include both the subject and the object in one form, and they change according to tense, aspect, and mood.

Georgian Sounds and Pronunciation:

    • Georgian has a rich array of consonants, including sounds that may be difficult for speakers of other languages, like ejective consonants (produced with a burst of air). It lacks some common sounds found in Indo-European languages, such as voiced bilabial fricatives.
    • Georgian is phonetic, meaning words are pronounced as they are written, which makes reading and writing somewhat easier for learners compared to languages with irregular spelling.

Georgian Cultural and Historical Significance:

    • Georgian is an ancient language with a literary history dating back to at least the 5th century AD. One of the most significant pieces of Georgian literature is the epic poem "The Knight in the Panther’s Skin" by Shota Rustaveli, written in the 12th century.
    • The Georgian Orthodox Church and other cultural institutions have played a large role in preserving the language, particularly during periods of foreign rule.

Georgian Dialects:

    • Georgian has several regional dialects, though Standard Georgian is based on the Kartvelian dialect from the region around the capital, Tbilisi.
    • The dialects differ in pronunciation and some vocabulary but are generally mutually intelligible for speakers of standard Georgian.

Influence of Other Languages:

    • Throughout its history, Georgian has been influenced by neighboring languages such as Persian, Russian, and Turkish. Despite these influences, it has retained its unique structure and vocabulary.

Importance of the Georgian Language:

  • Georgian is a symbol of national identity and plays a crucial role in the country’s cultural and historical heritage.
  • For those interested in the Caucasus region or Georgia's history, learning Georgian opens up access to a rich literary and oral tradition.

Learning Georgian can be challenging due to its complex grammar and unique script, but it is also deeply rewarding for anyone interested in the culture and history of Georgia.
